Caravel Technology Co-operative

The highest level of services is offered to members of the Caravel Technology Co-operative. Tech Co-op members use Mennonite.net's Caravel Content Management System to create and manage their website. Members support the ongoing development of Caravel and have the following privileges (without extra cost unless indicated).

 

  1. Hosting.  Both Caravel and Custom Hosting privileges.  
  2. Customer Support.  Enhanced customer support which includes free remote control support for up to 5 incidents a year with each incident being up to one hour in length.  
  3. Email.  Set-up and support for Google Apps email accounts.  (See below for extra fee that may apply.)
  4. New Features.  Priority for suggesting, being informed about and receiving new features in Caravel.
  5. Privileges.  Special support and/or feature privileges that may be announced from time to time.  
  6. Packages.  The opportunity of substituting one of the following membership packages:

    a. Getting Started Package - $500.  This is the standard package for new Caravel customers who will become Members under the new plan.  The package includes the following first-year services:  Hosting, initial set-up for a set of standard features built into the template, minor changes to an existing Caravel template, Set-up of email on Google Apps and enhanced customer support.  This will involve up to 20 hours of work with no rollover of unused hours after one year.  (If needed, extra design and maintenance hours can be purchased at the member rate of $35/hour.  While this is intended primarily for new members, until November 15, 2009, existing Caravel customers may also purchase this plan.

    b. Design/Maintenance Packages.  All packages include hosting for the amount of time indicated.  Unused package hours roll over into the next year as long as membership continues. Customers going off of a package will be billed yearly at $250/year starting with the last due date of the package they were on.
    * 10 Hour Yearly Design/Maintenance Package - $350. 
    * 20 Hour Yearly Design/Maintenance Package - $700 (or $175/quarter)

 

Who can be a member?

Mennonite churches and organizations are invited to become involved with Mennonite.net as either customers or members.  

Other churches and organizations are also welcome to apply for our services.
