Mennonite.net is happy to host a website for any Mennonite Church or Mennonite-related organization. Inquiries from non-Mennonite organizations are welcomed and will be handled on a case by case basis.

Mennonite.net offers two types of hosting services:  Custom and Caravel.

Custom hosting services - $99/year.  You design your site on your own computer using your own software and then upload the site to your Mennonite.net FTP account.  See details below.

Caravel™ Content Management System hosting is available during 2009 to pre-2009 customers at the legacy rate of $129/year.  Caravel customers are encouraged to become Members of the Technology Co-op which offers greater privileges.  See Membership.

Starting in 2009, Caravel Hosting Customers who choose not to become Members of the Technology Co-op, will also pay the $99/year rate.  This is a hosting only rate. Email services will involve an extra set-up fee for up to 8 accounts of $100 with extra accounts beyond 8 at an additional $10/account. 

You can purchase your own domain name (such as mymenno.org) from any registrar and attach it to your site on Mennonite.net. See details.

Custom Hosting - $99/year

This is the traditional method of creating a website. You create your own site first on your computer, using the software tools of your choice. All layout and graphic design is controlled by you.

Hosting customers can attach their own domain name to a site and receive up to 8 accounts for logging in. 

Email services involve a one-time set-up fee. Up to 8 accounts = $100  Extra accounts beyond 8 =  $10/account.

Hosting sites cost $99 per year on Mennonite.net.

When you are ready to display your site, Mennonite.net will set up an FTP (File Transfer Protocol) account for you to use. One FTP account with a unique username, is permitted per church or organization. For security purposes, each account is protected via a password which Mennonite.net can assign or you can choose.

Once you have successfully logged into your FTP account, you can upload your website files into a special folder created just for your church or organization. Once that process is completed, your website will show up on the web at your unique URL (Uniform Resource Locator) or web address. For details on web addresses, see the Domains section.

Caravel Content Management

Most Mennonite churches and organizations have a directory listing already on Mennonite.net. Use the search engine in the left column to search for your listing. If you do not find one, please contact us at .

These listings are created using our new Caravel™ Content Management System. The directory listing can be updated, customized, and additional Tabs and Sections added so that it becomes a full-fledged website.

Caravel™ sites are offered free to all Mennonite churches and organizations as our contribution to the mission of the Mennonite Church. We hope that those that are able will become members of Mennonite.net's Caravel Technology Co-operative. Members have extra privileges for support and services.
