Caravel Content Management System Gets Online Manual

The product is not done until the manual is written, so if you’ve been following the development of Mennonite.net’s Caravel web content management system, you’ll be glad to know that Caravel now has an online manual at http://caravelcms.org . Written using Caravel, the manual covers not only covers the features of Caravel, it also provides helpful information for congregations and organizations on the logistical side of creating a successful website.

“This is an example of eating your own dogfood,” explained Executive Director Michael Sherer. “The Caravel online manual is large and rather complex site with lots of graphics that uses most of the features of Caravel. We filled out a few bug reports, but on the whole found what we hope others will find, that Caravel is a fast, fun and productive way to create a professional-looking website.”

Caravel Enterprise Content Management System and Caravel Technology Development Co-op are designed to lower the barriers and cost of creating an effective online presence for the education, non-profit and business communities.
